BUSINESS MEETING VOTING RESULTS

The bylaw motion on Disaffiliation passed in both houses.  Any amendment to the bylaws has to achieve 2/3 (66.6%) of votes in each House to pass.

Lay House
Total Valid Lay Ballots Cast for Bylaw Proposal = 116
In Favor = 93 Votes = 80.1%
Opposed = 23 Votes = 19.8%

Clergy House
Total Valid Clergy Ballots Cast for Bylaw Proposal = 118
In Favor = 102 Votes = 86.4%
Opposed = 16 Votes = 13.6%

ELECTION RESULTS
Having received over 50% of the votes in both houses in round 1 of voting, two Lay candidates were elected: Chad Hobbs and Léo Rossetti.

Thank you to Ivana Warwick and Claire Coughlin for being willing to stand for election.

For the two Clergy seats on the Governing Board, in the first round of voting no candidate received more than 50% in both houses.

As per the Procedures Manual, the three candidates with the highest combined votes from both houses moved on to round 2.

After the 2nd round of voting, two Clergy candidates were elected:
Rev. Beulah Durrheim and Rev. Christopher Joseph San Jose

Thank you to all the candidates who were willing to serve on the Governing Board. We were truly blessed to have such a great range of candidates to consider.
