Dear friends,
Voting has started by mail-in ballot in Maryland and it is safe and secure.
If you are not registered to vote, you may do so online through October 13. After October 13, you may register to vote in person during early voting on or Election Day.
If you wish to vote by mail, you can request an absentee/vote-by-mail ballot through October 20 here.
The Maryland Board of Elections is already counting mail-in ballots. If you are voting by mail, be sure to return your ballot (via USPS or a secure ballot drop box) as soon as possible to ensure your vote is included in the results shared on Election night.

In addition to President and Congress, you will have the opportunity to vote for Circuit Court Judges, and several ballot questions. Across the County, three Board of Education seats are up for election including Board of Education District 4 which overlaps with much of Council District 3.
Maryland Matters provided a good overview of Prince George's County Ballot Questions A-E. These are bond questions which require voter approval per our Charter. Learn more.
All Marylanders will have the opportunity to vote on two state-wide questions. Read the Maryland Matters overview of Question 1 and Question 2 here.

The 2020 Census will affect redistricting for your Member of Congress, County Council representative and Board of Education representative, in addition to impacting funding our community receives for the next decade. The count will continue through October 31. We still have neighborhoods which we know are undercounted. Please join me in committing to reach out to 10 neighbors within the next week to urge them to fill out the census. Ask them to visit www.2020census.gov or call 844-330-2020. Remember you do NOT have to have your Census ID. Every person counted brings more than $18,000 back to Prince George's County!
