What does good quality data look like? An interview with Matthias Merzenich

CAT4.3 is coming soon to practices, including a fresh interface, that is simple and user-friendly.

CAT4
  • Version 4.27 September 2020
  • This update addresses the changes for the PIP QI Quality Improvement Measures (QIMs) as defined by the Department of Health.
  • Some of the key changes to the reports:
  • Patients who declined immunisation are not included in the relevant QIMs (only available for MD users)
  • Patients with ‘undefined diabetes’ are now included in the relevant QIMs
  • Age group for cervical screening is now aligned with national guidelines (25-74)
  • Patients with existing CVD are excluded from QIM08 and indigenous patients are included from age 35
  • Self-Funded practices have the option to export the 10 QIMs only for upload - PHN Portal use for PIP QI data
  • Other changes:
  • Heart Failure is now included in the CVD category. This will also affect the CV event risk report as CVD is an exclusion criteria
  • Pneumococcal vaccination schedule changes have been implemented for the relevant immunisation reports
  • Additional Covid-19 PCR and Serology mapping has been added
  • Fixes
  • Fixed Fasting Blood mapping issue for BP users
  • Fixed influenza vaccine mapping for Zedmed users
  • Performance enhancement and minor fixes

  • This update brings the following changes:
  • Date range result filter now available for FOBT reports
  • Reviewed pneumococcal schedule changes for children
  • Reviewed pneumococcal schedule changes for adults not at risk
  • Amendments for ORMA reports – only participating practices

  • The PHN ‘PAT CAT’ Portal is currently rolling out to all PHNs.
Topbar for General Practice
A demonstration of Topbar, our clinical decision support tool. This 30-minute demo will show how Topbar can be used to improve practice efficiency in general practice.

Chronic Disease Management and Health Assessments with CAT4
Learn how CAT4 can be used for chronic disease management and health assessments in general practice.

Learning Outcomes:
  • Identify patients at risk of chronic disease
  • Identify patients eligible for 45-49, 75+ health assessments
  • Find patients with at least one chronic condition and eligible for GPMP/TCA in CAT4
  • Learn where to access resources to better utilise CAT4 for chronic disease management
