PIP QI for General Practices
PIP QI '10 Improvement Measures' Report for General Practice in CAT4 - Available Now

CAT4 will provide a new PIP QI report to see the 10 Improvement Measures as graphs and to identify the patients behind the graphs.

Pen CS' clinical audit tool, CAT4, supports data-driven quality improvement and is used to analyse the practice population and better manage patient cohorts. CAT4 will feature the ‘10 Improvement Measures’ as an easy to use Report with the ability to drill down to patient level.

Please contact your PHN to find out if this report is available to you.

PIP QI Topbar '10 Improvement Measures' App - Available 7th October

The new Topbar PIP QI App will drive better data quality for the ‘10 Improvement Measures’. This App notifies the Doctor when a presenting patient’s record is missing information pertinent to the ‘10 Improvement Measures’. The Practice may opportunistically update clinical information, for the presenting patient, during the patient’s attendance at the Practice.

The PIP QI App is available to all users on Topbar.

PIP QI Training Manual for General Practices - Available Now
The Pen CS PIP QI Training Manual is now available for General Practices.

It is designed for new and experienced users of CAT Plus and details the new improvement measures as well as additional examples for quality improvement (QI) activities in a general practice setting.
Cancer Screening Recipes
Pen CS have developed Cancer Screening how-to guides (recipes) with Cancer NSW.

People with breast, cervical and bowel cancers detected through national cancer screening programs have better cancer survival outcomes than those diagnosed who had never been screened.

These recipes will support your practice to:
  • Establish and monitor bowel, breast and cervical cancer screening participation rates in their practice
  • Identify and:
  • send invitation reminders to patients who have recently become eligible to attend cancer screening
  • send reminders to patients who have previously screened and are due to re-attend screening
  • engage under-screened and never-screened patients.

Notification of Security Enhancements for Pen CS Support Help Desk
Pen CS wishes to notify you of a recent case where an unknown caller falsely represented themselves as an employee of Pen CS and asked a Practice for access to their server. This case was reported to Pen CS by a PHN.

Pen CS will commence issuing Support Appointment Codes so that Practices may confirm legitimate callers from the Pen CS Support team. For practices this adds additional security to Pen CS Support workflow before launching an interactive session.

Please download this  support update  to see how to verify that Pen CS Support is calling your practice and the Support Help Desk Policy.
Pen CS' Patient Connector Topbar App featured in Australian Doctor
