Here are some general updates that you may find useful in planning operation of your business moving forward:

The Emergency Shelter set up for those displaced by power and water outages will continue to operate at Fredericksburg Elementary School through Sunday. The City of Fredericksburg is coordinating for a new shelter site (location TBD) to free the space when schools reopen on Monday.
The regular meeting of Fredericksburg's City Council has been additionally postponed to Monday, February 22 at 6 p.m. The meeting will follow the same originally posted agenda and be conducted virtually using the same links posted.
According to the H-E-B Newsroom, the Fredericksburg store is scheduled to close at 5 p.m. today and reopen tomorrow from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.
The Hill County COVID Vaccination Site has announced the following schedule for this week:
  •  For those scheduled to receive a second vaccination dose today, Feb. 18, the appointments have been moved to Saturday, Feb. 20 at the same time as the initial appointment indicated on the vaccination record card.
  • Second vaccination appointments scheduled for Friday, Feb. 19 will now be administered on Sunday, Feb. 21 at the same time as the initial appointment.
  • Those scheduled to receive their first dose on either Thursday, Feb. 18 or Friday, Feb. 19 will be contacted by hospital personnel to reschedule as soon as possible.
  • Saturday and Sunday appointments will not change, officials said.
The City Recycling Center will reopen for normal hours tomorrow. Garbage pick-up service has resumed, but delays are possible since crews are working to catch up from missed days. The Sanitary Landfill is expected to reopen tomorrow – check for final details.
More than 8,000 CTEC customer remain without power as crews work to repair badly damaged infrastructure, including an estimated 500+ broken poles. Watch Facebook for service repair updates.
Atmos Energy advises that supply shortages may continue to impact customers with service outages that may require an extended period of repair. See updates and gas safety tips.

The heli pad at Gillespie County Airport is functional and fuel service has been restored at Fredericksburg FBO. Airport officials are waiting for significant patches of ice on the runways to thaw before full service can resume.
All area schools will remain closed for the remainder of the week.

The Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce will resume free rapid COVID testing appointments next week, Monday - Thursday from 9-10 a.m. and 2-3 p.m. All employees of Chamber member businesses are eligible. Schedule an appointment here.
