This shared site will be the first of its kind in the country, and will offer health and wellbeing benefits for older residents and new learning and social opportunities for children attending the nursery. The Star Collection
According to First Nations Pedagogy, elders have been the Gatekeepers of First Nations wisdom, knowledge, and history. The Star Collection books for young American Indian and Alaska Native (AIAN) readers highlight a connection to that cultural wisdom and community. It also celebrates young people's positive relationships with others that are safe, stable, and nurturing. This two-book collection is intended for kindergarten through third grade AIAN readers.

Think Intergenerational - Funding Opportunities

NEW! RRF Foundation for Aging—which has awarded over 5,000 grants of more than $255 million—is accepting proposal applications for its next grant cycle in their priority areas: caregiving, economic security in later life, housing, social and intergenerational connectedness. The Foundation will also remain open to considering compelling applications on other topics. Deadline: May 1, 2021. Learn more.
NEA Research Labs funds transdisciplinary research teams grounded in the social and behavioral sciences, yielding empirical insights about the arts for the benefit of arts and non-arts sectors alike. Matching/cost share cooperative agreements of up to $150,000 will be awarded. Deadline: March 8, 2021. Learn more.
The Upswing Fund for Adolescent Mental Health is a collaborative fund focusing on the mental health and well-being of adolescents who are of color and/or LGBTQ+. Created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, which has had a devastating impact on young people across the United States, The Upswing Fund will provide critical resources to front-line organizations that provide the services that young people rely on.
