Adriana Jurado is a second-year Master’s of Social Work student at the University of Pittsburgh. She is working on Fulbright and Mitchell applications for post-master’s funding to engage in Human Rights practice abroad. She is passionate about uplifting her communities and being an ally and accomplice to all marginalized communities. At Generations United, she has been analyzing demographic survey data to highlight diversity and inform strategies for future diversity initiatives. She has worked on editing and updating factsheets. She shared that her time at GU was certainly meaningful and will help inform her career trajectory in the non-profit field.

Jieyi Jin is a master of regional planning student from Cornell University. She will graduate this month. Her areas of interest are child-friendly design, planning for all ages, equity, and intergenerational issues. She will continue to work in the intergenerational field either in China or the United States in the future. This Summer she has been working with us to research intergenerational housing and planning efforts. Her main focus now is collecting and updating an intergenerational housing list.

The Grandfamilies & Kinship Support Network: A National Technical Assistance Center (Network) is seeking to identify and designate exemplary kinship/grandfamilies policies, practices, and programs to elevate good work and share exemplary strategies with others. Power of Youth Challenge: Serve This Summer Grants are available to young people who are currently residing in the United States and between the ages of 13 and 19 years old. The grants support service projects that are youth-led and respond to an identified need in your community. The Community Heart & Soul Seed Grant Program provides $10,000 in startup funding for resident-driven groups in small cities and towns across the United States to implement the Community Heart & Soul model. Grant funding requires a $10,000 cash match from the participating municipality or partner organization. Applying organizations must be from communities with populations of 2,500 to 30,000.
