Inspired by the Emmy-nominated Netflix film NONNAS, our theme honors the food, family, and wisdom shared across generations. Whether you’re gathering around the table, swapping recipes, or simply sharing stories, it’s a chance to strengthen intergenerational connections in your family and community.

Apply for Intergenerational Program Certification Today
Generations United is now accepting applications to recognize outstanding intergenerational programs in the United States. The Program of Distinction and Program of Merit designations are based on the criteria that underpin the effectiveness of any intergenerational program and are intended to recognize the rich diversity among programs that involve older and younger generations. The InterGen Program at West Hollywood Community Housing Corporation
Founded in 1986, West Hollywood Community Housing Corporation (WHCHC) builds and manages affordable housing integrated with on-site resident services to help low-income residents stabilize their housing, address any barriers to independent living, and acquire the skills and tools they need, including improved physical and mental health, for lives of greater self-sufficiency. The InterGen Program, a recently designated Generations United Program of Distinction, is part of WHCHC’s comprehensive resident services, aimed at convening seniors, adults, and children/youth in evidence-informed activities that reduce isolation, increase empathy and understanding, and facilitate communications among all generations. These activities result in greater resilience, improved mental health, and enhanced well-being for all program participants. Call For Proposals Open for the 2nd Biennial Mid-Atlantic Intergenerational Conference
Join colleagues and meet new friends from across the region to share ideas, successes, and challenges in creating intergenerational opportunities for all. The 2026 Mid-Atlantic Intergenerational conference (June 3-5, 2026) will include workshops, panel discussions, round tables, poster sessions, and individual presentations. There will also be time for intergenerational fun on the beautiful Stockton University campus in Atlantic City, New Jersey and site visits to organizations that strengthen intergenerational connections.
