Jane the Virgin
"Jane the Virgin , a loving send-up of the telenovela, focuses on a young, Hispanic, Catholic woman, who is accidentally artificially inseminated. She lives in Miami with her mother and grandmother. The first season chronicles Jane's pregnancy, culminating in her baby's birth. The show is rich in intergenerational mentoring. Jane's abuela nurtures positive traits like honesty, determination and faith throughout Jane's upbringing through flashback. Her abuela also provides frequent emotional support and advice about motherhood and life in the present." -Adam Otto
