Meet Honolulu Walks and Kenosha RSVP Mentor Program
Honolulu Walks  mobilizes diverse groups of people from the bookend generations - youth and seniors - to explore their built environment and generate ideas to make communities more age-friendly.   Read the full profile .

In Kenosha's RSVP Mentor Program, adults 55 years and up serve as positive role models for students in grades Kindergarten-12 who are in need of help with academic, social or life skills. Mentors are matched with students based on the age of the student, gender and school at which the mentor would like to serve. Read the full profile.

Q&A on D.O. v. Glisson Decision Impacting Grandfamilies

Last week, the U.S. Supreme Court refused to hear an appeal seeking to overturn a ruling in D.O. v. This meme of Tia Mowry, an actress and model who first gained fame for her teen role as Tia Landry on the ABC/WB sitcom Sister, Sister, is part of  our   Valuing Vaccinations Across Generations   campaign, which we launched in the United States through partnerships with the Gerontological Society of America and the American Academy of Pediatrics with support from Pfizer.

Think Intergenerational - Funding Opportunities
Support for Children's Oral Health Programs. Healthy Smiles, Healthy Children, The Foundation of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry will provide single-year grants of up to $20,000 to community-based initiatives in the U.S. that provide dental care and ultimately serve as a Dental Home to children with limited access to oral care or to those in underserved areas. Deadline: Dec. 15, 2017.  Learn more

Culture of Health Prize. The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation will award up to 10 winning communities $25,000 each and will feature their success stories. Eligible communities must be in the U.S., place a priority on health and create powerful partnerships and deep commitments to help all ages live well. Deadline: Nov. 3, 2017.  Learn more

Casey Foundation recently released a five-part video training series features internationally-respected kinship care expert, Dr. Joseph Crumbley.
