This Year's Eisner Prize Winner Is...DOROT!
Generations United is thrilled to announce The Eisner Foundation will be awarding The Eisner Prize for Intergenerational Excellence to DOROT, a long-time Generations United member and Program of Distinction! DOROT will be honored when Generations United and The Eisner Foundation jointly release a new survey and report on May 16 at the National Press Club in the Holeman Lounge. Award-Winning Author to Speak at the GrandRally Dinner
We're excited that Michael Morris, an award-winning author, will speak at the May 9th GrandRally dinner! A fifth-generation native of Perry, Florida, Michael knows Southern culture and characters. They are the foundation and inspiration for the stories and novels he writes. His debut novel, A Place Called Wiregrass, won the Christy Award for Best First Novel. His second novel, Slow Way Home, was nationally ranked as one of the top three recommended books by the American booksellers Association. Learn more about Michael Morris. Following Michael,

Think Intergenerational - Funding Opportunities
 Lifespan Respite Funding Opportunity.
The Administration for Community Living will fund up to two cooperative agreements with a federal funding level of up to $200,000 per award for a 36 month project period. The grant will fund planning, establishing and expanding/enhancing Lifespan Respite Care systems in the states. Deadline: June 14, 2017. Learn more
The Encore Prize: Generation to Generation Challenge.

will award $100,000 in cash prizes, coaching and a year of ongoing support to help
innovators of any age come up with new ways to bring the talents of older adults to benefit youth.

Funding Opportunity for Early Career Researchers to Increase Health & Equity. New Connections, a national project of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, is a career development program for early career researchers. The program offers funding to investigators from "historically disadvantaged backgrounds" - challenges individuals may have faced because of their race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, physical, learning or other disability, or because they are first-generation college graduates. Campus Interfaith Innovation Grants. Interfaith Youth Core (IFYC) is offering grants of $4,000-$5,000 to institutions of higher education that are turning religious diversity into a unifying force. Through the generous suppor ot Lilly Endowment Inc. and the Fetzer Institute, IFYC is offering multiple granting opportunities.
