Protect SSBG, Protect Vulnerable Children, Adults and Families from Future Budget Cuts

As Congress seeks to pass major tax legislation, the Social Services Block Grant (SSBG) and other programs that serve and protect children, older adults and people with disabilities are being targeted to pay for it. If the tax bill passes, SSBG will be subject to automatic cuts that would eventually eliminate the program if no action is taken.  SSBG gives state and local agencies critical, flexible support to help all ages. Don't let Congress hurt vulnerable children, adults, and families. Tell Congress to protect SSBG from future budget cuts. Learn more about SSBG. Learn more about how SSBG would be impacted by the tax bill.

True generational equity means acting on that awareness so that those who come after us, and who stand on our shoulders, can see a little further and do a little better in their turn." ~ Robert Ball, former Social Security Commissioner and Founder of National Academy of Social Insurance (NASI)
