Our Generations United team was thrilled to attend the White House Convening on Child Welfare Transformation and be part of this pivotal discussion, working alongside amazing advocates and policymakers, like Rep Danny Davis, to drive positive change for children and families. Grandfamilies & Kinship Support Network Director Ana Beltran and GRAND Voice Sarah Smalls also participated in a panel about grandfamilies.

This guide, created by our partners at USAging, contains resources that will be useful to staff from a range of professional backgrounds. The resources highlighted in this document will increase your understanding about the mental health needs of members of kinship/grandfamilies. Spanish-language resources are included when available. We are grateful to our many professional and lived experience reviewers. ONEgeneration and Sages & Seekers
ONEgeneration and Sages & Seekers, two of Generations United's Programs of Distinction, come together to expand intergenerational programs in Los Angeles County! Starting in August 2024, 46-year-old ONEgeneration will be integrating with the 15-year-old Sages & Seekers , welcoming its innovative and unique intergenerational programs as a permanent addition to the ONEgeneration portfolio. Under ONEgeneration’s umbrella of programs, Sages & Seekers will continue to bring elders and youth together in schools and community centers across the County for enriching programs that build on multigenerational commonalities that aren’t always obvious. Applications are now open for CoGenerate’s Innovators’ Community of Practice
Applications are open now for the CoGenerate Innovators' Community of Practice, a free, virtual, five-week learning experience for innovators interested in adopting or scaling intergenerational strategies for reducing social isolation and loneliness. The weekly, hour-long sessions from Oct. 10 - Nov. 7 will provide opportunities to learn from experts and one another and build a field of people using cogeneration as a uniquely powerful strategy to end this epidemic. Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP Opportunity
The Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP Opportunity is now accepting applications. AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP engages people ages 55 and older in a diverse range of volunteer activities designed to meet community needs. Among the priorities for this funding opportunity are initiatives that reduce isolation, improve mental health, offer peer support, and provide support. Around the country, RSVP volunteers are and can be used to support kinship/grandfamilies. Applications are due by 5:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. Learn more.
