Generator Ban on Liquids in Landfills Under the Generator Improvements Rule
A ban on landfill disposal of liquid waste is nothing new. Now, however, the ban applies to hazardous waste generators as well as the landfill. But it’s not as clear-cut as you may think! Liquids may remain in some landfill waste as long as free-standing liquids are removed. The type of sorbent used is important too, not to mention that your hazardous waste generator category (LQG, SQG, or VSQG) determines the amount of restrictions to which you are subject.
Important note: Make certain you are in compliance with all of the USEPA regulations for the cradle-to-grave management of your hazardous waste. Contact me for further information.
