Dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus, part of the growing repentance remnant, cleansing as His Bride, getting ready for His soon return as our Bridegroom-----
This issue of being generous to the poor goes all the way back to Deuteronomy 15:7,8:" If there is among you a poor man of your brethren, within any of the gates in your land which the LORD your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart not shut your hand from your brother, but you shall open your hand wide to him and willingly lend him sufficient for his need, whatever he needs. "
And generosity to the poor is picked up repeatedly in Proverbs. Proverbs 28:27 " He who gives to the poor will not lack, But he who hides his eyes will have many curses." Proverbs 22:9: "He who has a generous eye will be blessed, For he gives of his bread to the poor." And my favorite on this key topic, Proverbs 19:17: " He who has pity on the poor lends to the LORD, And HE will pay back what he has given."
The classic giving verse is from Yeshua/Jesus Himself in Luke 6:38: " Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you."
Our human tendency is to clutch things to ourselves. But Jesus exemplifies the essence of giving, by His Life, by His Blood (Ephesians 2:11-18). You and I are also called to sow our lives, yielding all to Him. John 12: 25, 26: " He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me, and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor."
The stark reality that in His Timing there will be a separation of the sheep from the goats. Matthew 25: 31-46, also calls you and me today to " Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world." The examples Yeshua then gives show His love for those generous to the poor: "for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.... Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me."

Virtually 95% of the funds in the GIVE 12 PROJECT have gone out to address very real spiritual warfare and physical hunger battles being addressed by our repentance-preaching brothers and sisters, helping them bring in new believers in the growing Kingdom of YHVH.
