National DNA Day – April 25, 2025

National DNA Day is celebrated on April 25 each year and commemorates both the successful completion of the Human Genome Project in 2003, and the discovery of DNA's double helix by James Watson and Francis Crick in 1953. This day is a unique opportunity for students, educators, and the public to learn more about genetics and genomics. Join us in celebrating the advancements in genetic research and the promise it holds for the future.
