SAN DIMAS, Calif. – LPC announced that George Bostanic will return to LPC as the new Associate Vice President of Student Development and Dean of Students, August 1. George spent 3 years with us as Director of Residence Life before moving a year ago to Lee University where he served as the Director of Residence Life and Housing.
"We here at LPC are all thrilled to welcome back George Bostanic to the new position of Associate Vice President/Dean of Students. George and Brittney are part of the LPC family, and will pick right up where they left off," says Jim J. Adams, President of Life Pacific College. He continues, "In this key position, George will lead the college in caring for our diverse student population and supporting their academic journey through co-curricular learning and enrichment."
Dr. Michael Salmeier, Vice President of Academic Affairs states, "We believe George is the ideal person to lead Student Development at LPC. George is a proven developer of student leaders. He is passionate about caring for the students and the staff he leads, and he loves his family here at LPC."
Dr. Sophia A. Magallanes, Assistant Professor of Theology and Biblical Studies and Diversity Coordinator at Life Pacific College, affirms, "
George has been an ally and advocate to all students. Both he and his wife embody the principles of the kingdom of God where they do not show partially to people because race, gender, ability, and socio-economic status." She continues, "they not only accommodate and appreciate diversity but also seek to understand and learn from all people on campus."
George has 10 years of experience in the field of student development and has most recently served at Lee University as their director of residential life and housing. Prior to Lee, George served at various institutions in a number of roles in student development including director of residence life, assistant director of residence life, and resident director. Additionally, he has served in some ministry roles in the local church, at Christian camps, and at a Christian K-12 school. George earned his Master of Arts in Higher Education from Geneva College in 2012 and his Bachelor of Arts in Bible and Theology at Malone University in 2009. He has a deep passion for serving and developing students during their college careers and seeing them cultivate their identity in Christ. He is married to Brittany, and has two daughters.
