"Here’s our freshly restored and freshly painted to vintage 1961 CN livery, former CN and VIA FP9A #6520.
After acquiring the unit from the Waterloo & St. Jacobs Railway in 2014, the West Coast Railway Association spent several years restoring the unit mechanically and cosmetically. Finally, this past Summer we were able to complete the paint job to restore the unit to it’s classic CN 1961 colours, the livery it wore the longest in service. Although the case was strong to paint it in the classic green, black and yellow in which it was delivered, we realized all other heritage units across North America are painted that way. So we went with the red nose on black & gray. It looks fantastic and runs perfectly. It is part of our operational fleet and will be in active service for our Polar Express trains in December."
