GO train arriving at Oshawa pulled by two of the newest locomotives of GO transit # 671 and # 680. These are MP40PHT-T4 locomotives built by MPI (MotivePower Inc., Boise, Idaho). Each locomotive has 2 QSK60 engines by Cummins providing a total of 5,400 H.P. The same company provided to GO transit 66 MP40PH-3c locomotives with 4,000 H.P engines. One of them, # 611, starts to push a train towards Union station and further to Aldershot. Though the locomotives do not look very different, the grills towards the roof have a different design.
The picture was taken from the pedestrian bridge which allows VIA customers to get to platforms 4 and 5 in Oshawa.
