From the Executive Director
Dear Friends,

As we kickoff a summer "unlike any other", we are glad to share with you a few updates of some of the things we are doing to move forward in this new reality.

Our 7th edition of our Innovation and Leadership in Government Program (ILG 2020) will run from September 21 though November 10, 2020 as a part-time virtual program for public managers all across the region. We are very thankful to Facebook Latin America for supporting this first virtual ILG program. Applications are still open, so for those of you interested in joining us, please submit your applications soon.

As we mark a special milestone for LALP in 2021, we look forward to welcoming on campus the 15th cohort of our Global Competitiveness Leadership Program (GCL 2021), an amazing leadership and experiential learning program for young leaders from all over Latin America and Spain. We are opening applications on July 1, 2020, so please check our website for further instructions on how to apply. Program updates will be posted on our website as the date approaches.

In addition, and in partnership with our incredible network of LALP alumni and with the Center for Latin American Studies (CLAS) at Georgetown University, we have put together two fantastic series of webinars to connect Georgetown with the region. The CLAS/LALP webinar series "The Americas: Building the Future Together" aims to uncover some of the opportunities and best practices that can foster future growth and inclusion in the America. Our second series "Latin America: Leading the Road Ahead" in collaboration with our LALP Alumni, aims to promote the exchange of best practices and knowledge among countries to mitigate COVID-19 and support our almost 700 alumni in the region.

We hope you will continue to join and support our programs as we strive to create a positive impact throughout Latin America.

Stay well and healthy!

Sincerely,
