Georgia Connection - October 2019
"Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." Ecclesiastes 4:12

Hello Georgia Nazarenes!

Since October is Pastor Appreciation Month, I created a “Top Ten” list of reasons (below) we should pray, love, and appreciate our pastors and their families. Please be intentional year-round, but especially this month, in demonstrating love and care for these special servant leaders.

  • God loves your pastor.

  • God called your pastor.

  • Your pastor loves everyone in the church, even those who don’t like him/her.

  • Your pastor carries many heavy, confidential burdens.

  • Your pastor prays for you and your family.

  • It’s very difficult today to lead people and organizations, especially churches.

  • Your pastor loves to preach the Good News to all kinds of people, and spends significant time and energy preparing sermons each week. The enemy tempts him/her to think that nobody is listening.

  • Every pastor gets a little criticism. Every pastor needs a little encouragement.

  • Everyone wants their church to flourish. Many in the church expect the pastor to make this happen.

  • The biggest reason pastors quit is feeling isolated. Let’s make sure our pastors know they are not in this alone.

Thanks for your prayers, love & encouragement for our pastors!
