Georgia Connection - September 2019
"Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." Ecclesiastes 4:12
Hello Georgia Nazarenes!

I love September. It starts with a holiday weekend, cooler temps and football season arrive, school is back in session, and church attendance usually increases from the “summer slump.” 🙌

But, I think what I enjoy most about September is that it helps restore rhythm to my life. I’ve been thinking more about those words lately:

restore : bring back, reinstate; return (someone or something) to a former condition, place, or position; repair or renovate so as to return it to its original condition.

rhythm : a strong, regular, repeated pattern of movement or sound; a regularly recurring sequence of events, actions, or processes.

We believe that God, by His grace, wants to restore every human being. No matter how much damage sin brings, God’s redeeming and restoring grace is greater. This is good news! Receive it. Release it. And remember, God wants to restore our whole life: body, soul, emotions, relationships, etc. We believe God’s graciously offers full salvation.

We also believe that God, by His grace, uses rhythms as a means of restoration. Music? Yes, but also much more! God also wants to restore us through prayer, worship, rest, recreation, exercise, diet, reconciliation, reading, and on and on and on...

Bottom line: God wants to redeem our rhythms to restore our lives.

Happy September!

Pastor Kyle
