The Georgia Elite Classic, going into its 10th season, will be adding an All-Star Game to its lineup in 2022, and the news will be broken here next Wednesday in Georgia High School Football Daily. Elite officials met last Friday at the Corky Kell Classic in Rome with city, county and convention bureau representatives, and both sides agreed to add a game to Elite, which already has an Eighth-Grade All-Star Game, Freshman-Sophomore Game and Junior-Senior Game. Currently, the event is taking nominations for this year’s matchups, which are on Dec. 29 in Rome at Barron Stadium with games beginning at 10 a.m. Players will report on Tuesday, Dec. 27. Players will stay two nights in a Rome hotel, be provided with meals, hoodies and jerseys and practice three times before their games. Both high school games will have 15-minute quarters, and head coaches will be able to challenge calls. The full slate will be televised by Peachtree TV and available digitally on the CBS46 app and the NFHS Network. To be nominated, click here.
