Fulton County Commissioner Liz Hausmann Talks about
Infrastructure Investments with President Biden
Fulton County Commissioner and ACCG Board member Liz Hausmann was invited to serve as a panelist for a webinar with President Joe Biden on the $1 trillion bi-partisan infrastructure bill passed by the U.S. Senate this week. Commissioner Hausmann also serves as Chair of the National Association of Counties (NACo) Transportation Steering Committee. ACCG & GMA Visit Houston County to Discuss Annexation Policy
ACCG and the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA) met with representatives from Houston County this week to discuss annexation policy. This Week in History from Hancock County:
On August 11, 2014, the Hancock County Courthouse burned to the ground. Little was left of the structure except for a few of the exterior walls. The courthouse, built in 1881, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Two years later, on August 11, 2016, the county celebrated the rebuilding and reopening of 'Her Majesty" on the courthouse square.
Tift County Board and Employees Participate in School Supply Giveaway
The Tift County Board of Commissioners and Tift County employees recently participated in a Community Resource Fair and School Supply Giveaway hosted by the Tift County Commission on Children and Youth. The commissioners and employees collected over 300 pairs of headphones and earbuds to give out at the event.

About Robert: Robert enjoys sharing retirement planning knowledge. He believes money can be one of the most stressful aspects of life and good proper planning can help alleviate that stress. When he's not sharing his wealth of knowledge you can find him on a golf course. Robert has two kids, Natilee is a 16-year-old high school senior and Nathan is a 13-year-old 8th grader. Robert has been a widower since 2015, the family lost their matriarch to gastric cancer.
