Walton County Unveils New Fire Station

The Walton County Board of Commissioners held a ribbon cutting for their new state-of-the-art fire station. The new station, which replaced a previous station that burned down, will help firefighters better serve the locals of Good Hope, Georgia, and surrounding communities.

Lowndes County Celebrates New AshBritt Foundation Gymnasium


The Lowndes County Board of Commissioners attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new AshBritt Foundation Gymnasium in Valdosta, Georgia. The gymnasium, provided by the AshBritt Foundation, will offer a safe recreational space for children at the Boys and Girls Club of Valdosta.

Cherokee County Honors Volunteer for Lifesaving Efforts


Cherokee County honored Nora Fett with a Lifesaving Award for her selfless work as a senior services volunteer. While delivering meals to seniors, Fett helped to identify an unresponsive patient and promptly alerted authorities. Her quick thinking and decisive actions helped save a resident's life.

Glynn County Staff Participate in the Annual Brunswick Rockin Stewbilee


Glynn County staff participated in this year's Brunswick Rockin Stewbilee, an annual event showcasing live music, a parade, local vendors, and a competitive stewbilee contest. County employees entered their homemade stew into the competition and won sixth place in the People's Choice category and first place in the judged competition.
