Need for Fire Detectors Creates Collaboration between
Habersham EMS and Local School
Habersham EMS recently presented Baldwin Elementary with smoke detectors for students who may need them at home. The idea for a donation came from a teacher reaching out to the county's EMS to see if it had any smoke detectors for ten students at the school that did not have smoke detectors in their homes. The outreach from the school has led to further collaboration with the county's EMS to include more outreach opportunities and promotion of public safety as a career pathway.
