Walker County Hosts Severe Weather Preparedness Event


Walker County First Responders hosted a community weather awareness event to educate residents on the importance of being prepared for severe weather. Attendees received safety tips and a complimentary weather radio. Georgia recognizes the week of February 5 - 9 as Severe Weather Preparedness week.

Carroll County EMS Partners with Schools for Severe Weather Preparedness Week


During Severe Weather Preparedness Week, Carroll County EMS visited local schools to assist with statewide tornado drills. The drills served as a timely reminder of tornado safety procedures for students and staff.

Baldwin County Fire Rescue Partners with Atrium Health Navicent EMS

Baldwin County Fire Rescue has partnered with Atrium Health Navicent EMS to improve response times in the southern part of County. In line with the partnership, an ambulance and crew have been relocated to the Baldwin County Fire Rescue headquarters. By the end of February, a second fire station will be equipped with an ambulance and crew.

Henry County Fire Rescue

Celebrates 50 Years of Service


The Henry County Fire Rescue Department marked a significant milestone with its 50th anniversary. In recognition of this achievement, the Henry County Board of Commissioners presented a proclamation to the Fire Rescue thanking them for their continued service.

Another Week Under the Gold Dome with the ACCG Governmental Affairs Team


The ACCG Governmental Affairs Team continues to advocate for Georgia's counties at the state capitol. They have been actively engaged in meetings with state legislators and providing testimony during committee meetings to represent the interests of counties across the state.
