DeKalb County Commissioner Larry Johnson Sworn In as NACo President

Congratulations to DeKalb County Commissioner Larry Johnson, who was sworn in as president of the National Association of Counties (NACo) on Monday. Johnson announced his focus will be on the theme Counties THRIVE, which stands for technology, health, readiness, infrastructure. vulnerable populations and economic opportunity.

Joint Meeting with Cities

The Early County Board of Commissioners held a joint meeting with their cities this week on local option sales tax (LOST) and comprehensive planning.

ACCG is offering regional training on LOST Negotiations and Redistricting in September and October. Talk to your county clerk about registering for these important sessions!

Staff at the Greene County Board of Commissioners Office were welcomed to work by a beautiful double rainbow on Friday morning. What a great way to wrap up the work week and kick off the weekend!
