Legislative work continues at the State Capitol - even during the summer. This week, ACCG staff, county officials and others testified at the Local Service Delivery Special Subcommittee meeting of the Governmental Affairs Committee. County officials who testified (pictured left) included Forsyth County Manager Kevin Tanner, Worth County Administrator Carl Rowland and Georgetown-Quitman County Chairman Carvel Lewis. ACCG Intern Yuruomeng "W" Wang (pictured right) testified on county salary information, explaining how county elected officials' salaries are calculated and the impact of state employee pay raises and constitutional officer pay raises. ACCG Deputy Legislative Director Todd Edwards and County Consulting Manager Bill Twomey also participated in the meeting.
