The ACCG Legislative Breakfast welcomed hundreds of county officials from across the state to Fulton County on Thursday. State leaders spoke on active legislation affecting Georgia's counties, and how county officials can get involved in the legislative process.

Berrien County Receives ACCG-GSIWCF Cash Dividends Fund


Berrien County received a cash dividend check from ACCG Insurance Programs this week. Cash dividends were released to counties who are members of the ACCG – Group Self-Insurance Workers’ Compensation Fund (ACCG-GSIWCF). For more information, click here.

Walton County Shares About Local Government Careers During Career Day

Walton County Commissioners and county departmental staff recently attended a local middle school's career day to share their experience of working for the County. Departments represented included public works, the fire department, and more. Commissioner Lee Bradford (At-Large Representative on the ACCG Board of Managers), among others, shared about the importance and value in starting a career in local government.

Fayette County Receives ISO Class 2/2Y for Fire Protection


The Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services, along with Fayette County 911 Communications and Fayette County Water System, has been recognized with a new ISO Class 2/2Y. The new rating recognizes the continued improved level of fire protection that Fayette County provides to residents.

Rockdale County Hosts Second Annual Debutante Ball

For the second year in a row, Rockdale County hosted the Debutante Ball. The Ball, a collaborative effort with Showtime Pros, INC., celebrates female youth's efforts to improve their local communities. The event recognized 14 ladies for their contributions to improving Rockdale County.
