Gordon County Recognizes October as National Fire Safety Month


The Gordon County Board of Commissioners signed a proclamation recognizing October as National Fire Safety Month. The goal of the proclamation is to help promote fire safety awareness in the community.

Dawson County Holds Ribbon Cutting for New Recycling Center


The Dawson County Board of Commissioners recently celebrated the opening of a new county recycling center. Residents can now dispose of various materials including aluminum and three different types of plastics.

Oconee County Fire Rescue Welcomes New Air and Light Truck


The Oconee County Board of Commissioners along with the Oconee County Fire Rescue welcomed a new state-of-the-art vehicle into service. The specialized vehicle can provide supplemental lighting and carry air refill tanks for extended fire scenes. Funding for this vehicle included a donation from the Presbyterian Homes of Georgia. 

ACCG Associate Director of Governmental Affairs Connects with Community Leaders in Gwinnett County


Martha Revelo, ACCG Associate Director of Governmental Affairs, recently attended the Hispanic and Latino Leaders Luncheon hosted by Gwinnett County Chairwoman Nicole Hendrickson. The event was created to promote collaboration and foster better relationships between local government and community leaders.

Whitfield County Fire Department Shares Importance of Fire Safety Through Clown Posse


The Whitfield County Fire Department's Clown Posse makes a return to promote Fire Safety Awareness Month. Throughout the month, the Clown Posse will travel to elementary schools in the county to educate students about fire safety through skits, demonstrations, and more.
