Fulton County Hosts 5th Annual Joan P. Garner Walk & Health Fair

District 4 Fulton County Commissioner Natalie Hall recently hosted the 5th Annual Joan P. Garner Walk & Health Fair. The Walk & Health Fair honors late Fulton County Commissioner Joan Garner who served on the ACCG Board of Managers.

Cherokee County Breaks Ground on Technology Ridge Parkway

Cherokee County celebrated the groundbreaking of phase one of Technology Ridge Parkway – a new corridor that will improve access from the Cherokee County Regional Airport to The Bluffs, a location primed for corporate relocation. 

Renovated Animal Shelter and New Park Open in Jackson County

The Jackson County Animal Shelter recently reopened following the completion of its Phase 1 renovations. Approved in October 2021 and paid for by SPLOST dollars, the renovations include a new lobby area, feline rooms, indoor K-9 and feline bonding rooms, and more. 

Jackson County Parks & Recreation Department announced the opening of Gum Springs Park. The county's newest park is a culmination of an Intergovernmental Agreement between the Jackson County School System and Jackson County Government that will provide fun and recreation to citizens and children of Jackson County for years to come. 

Historic Courthouse in Murray County Goes Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Murray County has joined in by lighting its historic courthouse pink. Those passing by the historic courthouse will see the pink lights reflecting on the building in efforts to bring awareness and to celebrate survivors.

Veterans Service Office Now Available in Gwinnett County

A space where veterans and their families can find local, state and federal services in one place is now open in Gwinnett County. Funded by American Rescue Plan Act funds the project streamlines access to resources like food, transportation, workforce development, housing and childcare for the county's former service members.
