Fayette County Welcomes New Firefighter Graduates 

The Fayette County Department of Fire & Emergency Services proudly held a graduation ceremony for Recruit Class Number 49. After a rigorous nine-month training program, the recruits earned their certifications as NPQ Firefighter II and Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians, showcasing their dedication and skill in serving the community.

Barrow County Welcomes Kroger to the Community


Barrow County officials recently gathered to celebrate the groundbreaking of the county's first Kroger grocery store. This new store, which will be located along Loganville Hwy, is expected to create 250-300 jobs and will serve as a valued community partner.


GCIP Intern Helps Pave the Way for Improved County Services

 

Loftin Turpin, a rising senior at Towns County High School, interned with Town County's roads department, where he inventoried all 1,325 county-maintained roads. His work, which included cataloging road conditions and physical descriptions, will help road crews and public safety employees improve service efficiency.

Cobb County’s Communications Department Receives National Award


Cobb County’s Communications Department received a Savvy Award from 3CMA for “Best Annual Report” at their annual convention in Arlington, TX. Judges highlighted the digital report's use of vibrant colors and local imagery, making it both informative and visually appealing.

Cherokee County Launches "Love Where You Live" Initiative


Cherokee County's newly launched "Love Where You Live" initiative highlights the stories of local residents and their connection to the community through bi-weekly video profiles. It also includes a give-back component, selling T-shirts at local events to support non-profits and cultivate a spirit of giving and service.
