Undergraduate Scholarship

Highly qualified undergraduate students are invited to apply to fund study, senior thesis research and/or internships in Germany. Scholarships are available either as part of an organized study abroad program or an independent study abroad semester or year. Apply by Jan 31st, 2018.

Learn German in Germany

DAAD offers grants to faculty members in all academic fields (except German Studies, German Language and Literature, and German Translation and Interpretation) to attend intensive language courses at various Goethe-Institut locations in Germany. Four-week courses are offered year-round. Apply by Jan 31st, 2018.

DAAD invites representatives from universities, research institutions, and funding agencies in the United States and Canada to join us for our “Germany Today” Information Tour 2018 on " Getting to know Germany’s Universities of Applied Sciences:Applied Research, Career- Focused Training, and International Outlook." Apply by March 2nd, 2018.

DAAD Webinar for Advisors, Wed, Jan 31st 1-2pm EST

This upcoming webinar will provide advisors with online and offline resources about studying in Germany and funding opportunities for undergraduates and graduates. DAAD staff will give you a tour of our website and point out relevant pages you can share with your students. There will be plenty of time at the end to ask questions.

Media and Operations Intern Wanted

The German Center for Research and Innovation seeks a media and operations intern for a minimum of 6 months .
This position requires a commitment of 38.5 hours per week; additional evening and weekend hours may be necessary. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. Apply by February 15th, start date is April 3, 2018.

The application form asks for a German bank account, but I do not have one. How should I proceed?

If you do not have a German bank account, please leave the respective section of the application form blank. If you are selected as a scholarship recipient, our team will walk you through the steps necessary to make sure you receive your stipend.
