Gerrie Electric recognizes that the COVID-19 may change how you and your facility operate and the requirements we are all needing to take to protect ourselves, families, employees and colleagues.

We wanted to communicate what we are doing at Gerrie Electric as of today. We have a Pandemic Preparedness Committee that meets daily (with Skype and social distancing) to review the safety of our employees, customers, and suppliers and makes updates to our communications and policies in this very changing situation. Please check Gerrie.com for updates to our communications.

Our Electrical counters are still open as electrical products are necessary to businesses and the population. We have a Visitor Questionnaire posted on those entrance doors that asks about the customer’s health, recent travel, and any potential risks. We are recommending customers, when possible, use our web to place orders and have material shipped to their location, site or
picked up in a special area in our facilities.

As a way to help you and your teams, consider using Gerrie.com or downloading the Gerrie App (found on Apple App Store and Google Play Store as Gerrie Electric) to access inventory, your specific pricing if you have logged in, spec sheets, backorder statuses, place orders for delivery etc. It is a robust self service portal to assist your team. Our staff are committed to ensuring the same level of service you are accustomed to and have put measures in place to mitigate any shifts in the workforce to ensure the least impact to product and solutions to our valued clients.
As we navigate this dynamic situation, Gerrie is ready to assist under today’s unique conditions.

In regards to the supply chain , we know the frustration of empty shelves and are making efforts to boost our inventory levels on high volume products. Our Director of Vendor Relations is keeping informed on updates from our manufacturers of our products on any potential impact to our inventory and our customers. At this point, we have had no indication of any current or pending shortages however we have a formalized process in place to collect and capture updates on a weekly basis. We will keep you updated if there are any changes that could impact your company.

Our Distribution Centre Team and Delivery Drivers are taking appropriate precautions including handwashing with soap and water, wearing gloves and have hand sanitizer in their Gerrie trucks. Where required, we have migrated from signature pads to run sheets requiring customer to use their own pens to sign for material. We are not experiencing any fulfillment or delivery impacts.

We have surveyed our customer base by email and collected your responses to any visitor restrictions you have in place . We have ensured our appropriate teams are aware and adhere to these policies. Please share your response with [email protected] if you haven't done so already.

We have collected a technology readiness survey of our inside sales and technical teams, accounting, and various departments and are prepared to ensure we are able to continue to service your needs remotely.

We have cancelled all business travel, conferences, events, meetings, required all non-essential business interactions be limited to virtual and skype meetings and have restricted access by visitors ; any essential business visitor is required to fill in a Visitor Questionnaire that includes their health, their recent travel and any potential risks. If they answer yes to any question they are not permitted in our building.

We have mandated any employee who has travelled outside of Canada may not return to work and must self- quarantine for 14 days.

If there is anything we at Gerrie can do to help you and your team, please do not hesitate to contact your local branch or department.

Thank you for the business you give to us as we work together to ensure our Ontario population health and economy remain strong.
