People's Center Temporary Closure
March 17 - 21
From March 17-21, People’s Community Center will temporarily close for routine annual maintenance. All areas of the building will be closed to the public except for the Senior Hub which will operate from 8 am-2 pm daily. During these hours the lobby will be staffed and accessible. All other building uses will be on hold during the maintenance week.

Park Board Meeting
Monday, March 24 | Center at Norpoint
On March 24, the Park Board meeting will be conveniently held at the Center at Norpoint. Come meet the commissioners and learn more about what’s happening at the center and around the park district!

Audition Call for Shakespeare in the Park
Saturday, April 5 - Tuesday, April 8
We're excited to announce auditions on April 5, 6 and 7 for Shakespeare in the Park: A Midsummer Nights Dream! Shakespeare in the park is a much-loved Tacoma tradition, occurring outdoor in parks each summer season. This year the production team aims to feature South Sound performers.

- Shows will run on four days in August.
- Auditions will be held April 5, 6, and 7, by appointment.
- Callbacks will be held on April 8 at 7 pm. Monologue choices can be found on the website on the "requirements" tab.

Point Defiance Bird Walk
Sunday, March 23 | 8:30-10:30 am
Point Defiance Park

Join in a Park Guide-led bird walk through Point Defiance Park and see what species can be found in the shore and forest. Drop-ins welcome, no registration required to attend.
- Please bring your own binoculars, but extras are available to borrow upon request.
- Participants must be able to travel on unpaved, uneven trails for up to two miles.
