A Note from Marty Ochs
Recently, the State of Wisconsin passed new regulations aligning state drinking water standards with strict federal limits for PFAS. GBIG is co-sponsoring two events to address the issues surrounding PFAS.
1- Join GBIG and the Fresh Water Collaborative for a PFAS conference on April 15 in Stevens Point. The conference brings together experts in industry, academia, government, and nonprofits.
2- Join GBIG and UW-Madison to hear a panel of industry experts discuss PFAS on June 2 at Lambeau Field. The speakers include:
- Graham Peaslee, Professor at the University of Notre Dame, discusses packaging and PFAS.
- Dave Garlie of Cross Plains Solution, whose mission is to eliminate PFAS in firefighting foam.
- Christy Remucal of UW-Madison College of Engineering Aquatic Chemistry
- Lane Ruhland, Lobbyist representing the Wisconsin Paper Council on PFAS regulations.
PFAS impact all of us. Join us at these 2 events as we look deeper into PFAS issues.
Thanks,
Marty Ochs

ADA Mistakes Employers Make
Ensuring compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and state-level disability laws remains a critical employer obligation. Compliance requires covered employers to provide reasonable accommodations to qualified employees with disabilities unless doing so imposes undue hardship. Despite decades of established guidance, ADA accommodation issues continue to drive a significant volume of claims and enforcement actions from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and state agencies.
