As promised, this week we are sharing recruiting tips for Finance and the next issue will focus on Accounting. Many companies across industries will begin posting their Internships for summer (yes, we're talking '26 AND '27!) so take some time to research timelines and engage with your top companies now. Go back and read the last issue if you are interested in Consulting.

For those of you focusing on Finance, there are plenty of resources available to help you land both internships and full-time positions. Here are the top five recruiting tips from CCD for navigating this highly competitive industry:

  1. Choose your top resource to deepen your finance knowledge. Consider joining associations. Some popular sites include: The Vault, Wall Street Prep, Wall Street Oasis, BIWS, Mergers & Inquisitions, eFinancial Careers, Corporate Finance Institute, and The Financial Management Association (FMA).
  2. Look for Early Insights Programs - for first years and sophomores, designed to introduce you to the bank's culture and different divisions
  3. Use AI as a tool, not a crutch.  Some good prompts to get you started with AI: “Create a 4-week plan to apply for finance internships.” “What are the top finance internships for undergraduates in [CITY]”, “Mock interview me or a financial analyst role.”, “What Excel skills should I learn for investment banking?”
  4. Track application deadlines. Deutsch Bank has some applications closing mid August, JPMorganChase and Bank of America have opened several Summer 2026 positions with many other firms will begin posting end of August through December. RecruitU and RAIN are great platforms to keep you organized.
  5. Do your research. Talk to Babson alums and Babson upper classman currently interning where you want to apply.
  6. Attend the Finance Industry Recruiting Event on September 9th.
