One of the hottest employment markets not just today but in the years ahead is the cable industry. With employees spread throughout the country, billions in broadband deployment planned in the coming years, new technology rollouts and more positive growth predicted, cable will be hiring for jobs at all experience levels.
In the past 20 years, 1.2 million new jobs have been supported by the cable industry, and that growth is expected to accelerate in the coming decade.

Charter Communications – with 10% of its workforce having a military connection – is one company that has made recruiting, hiring, training and supporting veterans a priority.
One of Charter’s veteran hires is Rich Fraher, area vice president of field operations, Charter Communications, San Antonio. He shares why the company is committed to military veterans and how the company eased his personal transition to the civilian workforce when he left the Navy.

Spectrum launches gigabit broadband, mobile, tv and voice services in rural Jefferson County, Texas
Spectrum has launched Spectrum internet, mobile, TV and voice services to more than 2,670 homes and small businesses in rural Jefferson County, Texas. Spectrum’s newly constructed fiber-optic network buildout is part of the company’s approximately $5 billion investment in unserved rural communities, which includes $1.2 billion won in the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) RDOF auction. Comcast Houston and Emancipation Park Conservancy were joined by more than a dozen local community organization leaders recently to activate a new Wi-Fi-connected Lift Zone in Houston’s historic Third Ward.
