1 Ignited by Truth - First Saturday Rosary | 9am | Chapel | Join Ignited by Truth for our First Saturday Rosary in the Our Lady of the Angels Chapel at St. Francis of Assisi on Saturday February 1st. We will begin the morning with Mass at 9am.

5 Wine and Wills | 6:30pm-8pm | Founders | Whether you need to create or revise your will, please join us for our Wine and Wills event hosted by the Foundation of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Raleigh on Wednesday, February 5th from 6:30- 8:00pm in Founders Room.


Come join us and enjoy a great evening of wine, conversation, and planning for the future.


The Seminar will be led by a local Estate Planning Attorney, providing an excellent opportunity for parishioners to learn more about creating or revising your will. Seminar topics include legal steps required in personal planning, understanding wills and trusts, Beneficiary Designations, Power of Attorney, Advance Directive- Living Will and other important information. 5 Alzheimer's | Dementia Caregiver support Group | 1pm-3pm | Padua | Are you caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s or dementia? 11 Grief Journey : Coping with Loss of a Loved One | 10:30am-12pm | Anthony Hall Lg. Conf. Rm | A seven week series that offers hope following the loss of a loved one through death. The group offers a safe place to share your own journey with grief and to learn from others. Intended for those who are three months or more after the death of their loved one.

16 Knights of Columbus President’s Day Weekend Pancake Breakfast | 10am | Fellowship Hall | Join us after the 9:00am mass in the Fellowship Hall. 3 Pancakes, 3 Sausages, Donuts, Coffee, Juice etc. will be priced at $7.00 per person and $24.00 for a nuclear family of 4 or more. Net proceeds will support Fathers James’ and Joseph’s seminaries.

26 Women’s Ministry Bible Study: Fearless & Free | 10am-12pm | Padua | Join us for a Women’s Ministry Bible for a Bible study based on the book of Ephesians. Sessions are on Wednesdays for 6 weeks. We are seeking volunteers to accept donations from parishioners, and to load the donations into the bin located in the back of the truck around mass times the weekend of February 15/16 and 22/23

Catholic Parish Outreach Donation Drives Coordinator Needed

We are looking for a couple or 2 individuals to take over the volunteer role for coordinating the CPO food drives that are held twice a year . You would help coordinate volunteers, bags, and truck logistics alongside the parish staff. If you are interested and want to learn more Contact Ashley Watson

Volunteers are needed to provide meals on a short term basis for members of our community who are dealing with significant life issues.

Helen Wright Center

Currently we are providing dinner for 70 women every 1st Saturday and 3rd Wednesday of each month. We need help through donations of food or assistance serving the meals. See calendar for opportunities.

Oak City Cares

Food donations and serving. We serve a breakfast meal to 200 people on the 2nd Saturday of every other month and the 4th Sunday of every month. You can help by donating food, serving a meal, and/or visiting with the guests. Your gifts of food and visits with the guests at OCC are key to making them feel welcomed and valued at OCC. Volunteer Weekday Receptionist These volunteers welcome and offer hospitality, answer the phone calls from the main parish line and direct calls to the correct staff member. There are two shifts: morning shift from 9:00 am-12:30 pm and afternoon shift from 12:30 pm-4:00 pm.

Welcome Hosts - Weekend Volunteers This is the first person a parishioner or guest interacts with at the Parish offices. These volunteers welcome and offer hospitality. They also answer all the phone calls from the main parish line and direct the calls to the correct staff member.
