Committee Description

The Membership Committee is dedicated to strengthening ABC NorCal by driving recruitment, retention, onboarding, and engagement efforts. Committee members serve as ambassadors for the association, helping attract prospective members, welcome new members, and ensure all members feel connected and supported.

Committee Responsibilities

• Recruitment: Assist in identifying and reaching out to prospective members. Share the value of membership and encourage companies to join ABC NorCal.

• Onboarding: Welcome new members through email, phone, or in person. Learn about their goals for joining and guide them toward resources and opportunities.

• Engagement: Encourage members to attend events, join committees, and make connections within the association. Support active involvement, especially during the first year.

• Retention: Maintain regular contact with members throughout the year to ensure they are receiving value. Identify challenges and share insights with ABC NorCal staff.



• Feedback: Provide leadership with member perspectives to help refine programs, benefits, and events.

ABC NorCal Ambassador Program

Ambassador Responsibilities



• Welcome New Members: Reach out via email, phone, or in person to greet new members and understand their goals for joining ABC NorCal.

• Facilitate Networking: Connect new members with others in the community, creating opportunities for meaningful relationships.

• Introduce Resources: Guide members through ABC NorCal’s programs, events, and benefits to maximize their experience.

• Encourage Participation: Promote active involvement, especially during the critical first year, to build engagement and satisfaction.

• Provide Ongoing Support: Maintain regular contact with new members (at least quarterly) to offer guidance and check on their integration into the community.

• Share Feedback: Provide leadership with insights into new member interests and challenges, helping to refine and enhance member offerings.
