Sign Up For ProjectConnect
ProjectConnect is a new program on campus designed to help students meet people from outside their social group and make new friends. Participants meet with their small, peer-led group 6 times throughout the semester. Meetings include fun activities that help members get to know one another on a deeper level and give back to the community.

Students in their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year looking to build community and gain leadership experience can apply to become a ProjectConnect group leader!

Deadline to sign up is Friday, September 10.
Living Substance Free @ Brandeis
Don't drink or smoke? You are not alone!

Join other substance-free students to get to know one another and chat about the social scene at Brandeis.

Undergraduate students and graduate students are welcome. Snacks will be served!

Flu Clinic Coming Soon
This fall, it is more important than ever to get your flu vaccine.

Location: Levine-Ross conference room in Hassenfeld
  • October 4-7 from 9am-5pm ET
  • October 8 from 9am-12pm ET

Schedule your flu shot directly in your Campus Passport. (Watch for an email notifying you that it’s time to sign up.) If your schedule changes and you can’t make your original appointment time, that’s okay. There will be flexibility during the clinic hours. It’s most important to just show up! We anticipate appointments will take no longer than 10 minutes. Bring your health insurance card.

Have You Seen My Tolerance?
When people take breaks from drinking alcohol - say over the summer or while living with family and studying remotely, for example - their tolerance decreases. Having a low tolerance means it takes less alcohol to get the same effect.

This is actually a good thing! A high tolerance is expensive and can increase the likelihood of developing long-term health problems and substance use disorders.

If you choose to drink, be careful and go slow. You may not be able to consume as much as you used to.

MISSING: Have you seen my tolerance? There is a cartoon of a drunk brain and a reward for $500. Time off from drinking lowers your tolerance. If you choose to drink, be careful and go slow.
Why I Wear A Mask
Do not make assumptions or judgments about why someone might be wearing a mask. As members of a caring community, it is important that we demonstrate respect for others and their privacy regarding their health and vaccination status.

If you see someone wearing a mask, be courteous and put yours on!

Meet the BTW Peer Educators
The Bridge to Wellness (BTW) peer educators are back in action! BTW educates and empowers students to prioritize their physical, emotional, and social wellbeing. BTW also works to increase access and strengthen connections between students and campus resources.

BTW offers a menu of interactive wellness workshops (no PowerPoint!) and tabling programs for your student group, organization, or team. You can also reach out directly to a BTW peer educator for information and resources to support your individual wellness needs.

Taking Care of Your Healthcare
Take these simple steps to prepare for a safe and healthy semester:

  • Carry a copy of your health insurance and prescription cards. You may wish to take a photo and save it where you can find it easily on your phone.

  • Review the available support resources on campus you might need for existing or recurring conditions and how to access them. Call the Health Center at 781-736-3677 with any questions or concerns.

  • Properly store your medications and supplements. We recommend you use a lock box to keep your prescriptions safe and review potential interactions with alcohol and other medications.

  • Make sure your immunizations are up to date and get your flu shot. Watch for Brandeis Flu Clinic notifications in October. You can upload your immunization records in the Secure Patient Portal.

  • Think about what you may wish to share with your family or keep private. Brandeis needs a student's consent in order to share any details about their medical care when the student is 18 years of age or older.
