Town Hall #1
Follow-Up
Thank you to those of you who were able to join us for our first Town Hall Meeting in 2021. As members of Zion, we want to ensure that everyone is well informed about the state of our church, new and exciting ministries, and opportunities to connect and serve.

If you missed the meeting, or would like to view the presentation, it is available on the member resources page of our website. This page requires a login, which some of you may already have. If not, we have created a generic login to this page, available by e-mailing Cantor Kurt Schmidt. (Because this page contains information for members only, we ask that you do not share the e-mail and password with those outside of the Zion community.)

In the mailing that active member households should be receiving this week, those that contributed in 2020 will find their statement of giving that can be used for tax purposes. If you find an error, please contact our treasurer, Robin Larson, to let her know.

Also enclosed is a Willing to Grow card for 2021. These cards will help us identify how we are willing to grow as we steward the time, talent, and treasure God has given us. We are asking each Zion member in your household to complete a card and return it to the church office in the enclosed envelope. It can also be dropped off to the Preschool Office during weekday business hours. A printable version of the Willing to Grow card is available on the Member Resources page of our website.

If you would rather complete the Willing to Grow card electronically, you can do so by clicking here. All Willing to Grow cards should be completed and submitted by Sunday, January 31st .

We are excited about the possibilities that God has set before us this year and that God has gathered us at Zion for the joy of mission and ministry together!

Pray Where You Are (Literally)

"There is something deep and transformational that happens when we walk the streets of our community while conversing with God." (Navigators)

We invite you to participate in this opportunity to walk (or do so virtually!), pray, pay attention, and listen. We believe that God's spirit is transforming our neighborhoods and we want to connect with the Spirit's work!

To view the 30 Days of Prayer for the Neighborhood, click here.

Missed the start date? You didn't! Start when you can, and pray for 30 days in and for your neighborhood.
Exploring Membership Begins January 20th

There is a place for you here at Zion. Join Pastor David Potter to explore connections between the history and beliefs of Christianity and the Lutheran tradition; the mission, ministry, and history of Zion; and your own sense of how your time, talents, and treasure can connect with the community of Zion.

While being formally accepted into membership at Zion is a natural "next step" to this series of meetings, it is not a requirement. Even if you've been a long-time Lutheran and just want a refresher on Christianity and the Lutheran tradition, you are more than welcome to join us!

For more information, including how to access the Zoom, click here.
Printed Offering Envelopes: Don't Need Them?

If you've transitioned to online giving and no longer have need of printed offering envelopes, you can save the church some money. Please let Cantor Kurt Schmidt know, and you will be removed from that specific mailing list. Thank you for good stewardship!
