Missing Creative Arts? We have some good news for you!
This summer some of the usual "creative crew" (Rev. Linda Campbell-Marshall, Pastor Jen Curran, Pastor Kelly Harvell, and others) will offer a virtual camp scheduled for two hours each day (10:00 a.m. to noon) Monday through Friday, July 26-30 for youth in grades 6-12. The camp will be limited to 12 campers, so register soon to get your spot!
In addition to the usual "kriklum" study time, each camper can choose between 2 arts options each day. The theme for the week will be based on “The Quiltmaker’s Gift” by Jeff Brumbeau with pictures by Gail de Marcken.
Some will have the opportunity to create their own quilt square, if they choose (this will take three days). Additional options will include: Zendoodle, Scrapbooking, Soap Sculpture, Origami, Triskele, and God’s Eye.
After choices are made, each camper will receive a "kit" with needed items and a "scavenger hunt" list for things to find around home. There will, of course, be time to catch up with old friends and make some new ones!
To register for this camp, please download and fill out this form and return it to Mechuwana by email or snail mail (PO Box 277, Winthrop, ME 04364) as soon as possible so Creative Arts staff can get your kits to you based on your arts choices.
