Taekwondo Lesson of the Month:
Strength of Character:
For our Taekwondo students, strength of character might look like continuing to practice when a technique is difficult, showing respect after a tough loss, helping a lower-ranked student, or admitting when you’ve made a mistake.
For our fitness members, it can mean keeping a commitment to yourself, pushing through a challenging workout, encouraging the person beside you, or having the discipline to keep showing up even when motivation is low.
And strength of character extends far beyond our walls. It’s choosing kindness when it would be easier to criticize. Taking responsibility instead of making excuses. Standing up for what is right. Following through on your word. Treating people with respect regardless of what you receive in return. All the hard stuff that no one is perfect at.
This Month’s Challenge
Ask yourself:
What do I do when things get hard?
Do my actions match the person I want to be?
Can people count on my word?
How do I treat others when there is nothing in it for me?
