| | 2025-2026 Texas 4-H Enrollment Guides & Instructions | | Information: The new 4-H year is almost here, and many members & families will need to re-enroll on 4HOnline in order to participate in local clubs, contests & events. Please utilize the PDF resources below to help new and returning families navigate the 4HOnline system and re-enroll as soon as possible. Remember to access 4HOnline here: https://v2.4honline.com/#/user/sign-in! 4-H members who are in the 3rd/4th grade should wait until September 1st, 2025 to enroll so they are assessed the correct fees.
· Youth Enrollment Fee ($25): Youth may participate in 4-H year from September 1st of grade three through August 31st following completion of grade twelve, with these age restrictions:
o Minimum age - 8 (as of September 1, 2025, in addition to being in the 3rd grade)
o Maximum age - 18 (as of September 1, 2025)
· Clover Enrollment Fee ($10): Youth who are a minimum of five years old AND eligible to enroll in Kindergarten on September 1 of the current year and have not started the third grade on September 1.
· Adult Enrollment Fee ($10): Adults who have surpassed their 18th birthday and no longer enrolled in school by September 1.

Feed My Starving Children (FMSC).

FMSC’s Mission is to Feed starving kids in body and soul, while sustainably empowering their communities.

FMSC provides over 400-million meals annually and feeds over 1.2-million kids daily.
FMSC meal-packing event along with St. Paul Lutheran Church, October 8-11, with the following goals:

Pack over 270,000+ meals.

Feed 745 kids daily for a year.

Engage 1350 local community volunteers

2025 Pecan Fundraiser
We're excited to announce the start of the Comal County 4-H 2025 pecan fundraiser!
This year, we're offering only pecan halves to ensure the highest quality. Each bag of halves is $15, and half of the proceeds will go directly to your club's coffers.
Our pecans are sourced locally from a Comal County farmer and are Choctaw Pecans, known for their sweet, buttery flavor and crunchy texture.

Information: The Wilson County Archery Project will be hosting their Annual Clout Tournament on Nov. 8th at the Helton Sports Fields (2785 County Road 128, Floresville, TX). 2025-26 Texas 4-H Food Challenge Guidelines and Resources
We are pleased to release the 2025-26 guidelines. As you will see from the guidelines, there have been a few changes made with the most notable indicated below. Please remember, these changes are for the Texas 4-H Roundup state contest. County and district contest rules can and may vary so please check those guidelines related to those specific contests.

District 10 will host a VIRTUAL Record Book Training via Microsoft TEAMS on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2025. This training is highly encouraged for both new and experienced families to get information on the new record book format and ask questions! Details on how to join are below:

2025 Guadalupe County CDM Contest
2025 Guadalupe County CDM Contest to be held at the Country Church in Marion, Texas on FRIDAY, October 24. Cost is $40 per team. See attachment for details and entry form.

The Guadalupe County 4-H Livestock Judging Contest will be held on a new date this year – FRIDAY, October 24. It will be held in Marion at the Country Church Arena. Details are on the attached flyer.

Texas 4-H Outdoor Challenge Discovery Event
Join us for a Texas 4-H Outdoor Challenge Discovery Event in the Davis Mountain Preserve, Fort Davis, Jeff Davis County on November 11, 2025. The event will be held 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Registration is $35 dollars and opens September 29th- October 27th on 4HOnline. There is also a free registration option for agents who are interested in attending. Lodging and meals will be the responsibility of the families, please plan to bring a lunch. The Davis Mountains State Park is close by and a great place to camp or stay at the lodge. Fort Davis also has hotel options. Note: This is NOT the annual Texas 4-H Outdoor Challenge held in June. This discovery event is a smaller five activity event held on one day only. The purpose of the event is to provide a closer look at the experience for some of the more distant corners of the state allowing 4-H members and families the opportunity to explore it at a nearby location and in a shorter time frame. The five events will be Outdoor Skills, Biologist Skills, Air Rifle, Archery and Biking. The contest will follow the Texas 4-H Outdoor Challenge Study Guide found at the link in the button.

4-H Sportfishing Project Leader Training
Registration is open for the 4-H Sportfishing Project Leader Training to be held on November 8, 2025 in College Station. This one day training will cover how to begin a 4-H Sportfishing project in a local county or club. Participants will receive two different curricula and numerous other resources as well as become certified as instructors in the Texas Angler Education Program through Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. The training is for anyone, regardless of current fishing knowledge and experience, who would like to learn more about fishing and how to use the activity as a youth project.

2026 San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Junior Commercial Steer Show Record Book
All exhibitors in this division must have owned and had their steers on feed on or before August 29, 2025.
Initial Weight: August 22 – August 29, 2025
Final Weight: January 23 – January 30, 2026
We will be increasing the "Above Weight Target" to 1650 lbs. to adjust to industry trends. Point deductions will be adjusted accordingly as well.
**Note: The scale tickets must show both steers were weighed on the same day or points may be deducted.
Record Books must be completed and mailed by UPS or FedEx by February 6, 2026 to the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Competitive Events Office (3201 E. Houston Street San Antonio, Texas 78219).
