1865 Freedom Legacy Scholarship for State College and Bellefonte BIPOC Students Launched at Centre Foundation

Centre Foundation is excited to announce the launch of the 1865 Freedom Legacy Scholarship, a transformative initiative designed for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) students in the State College and Bellefonte area. — With an initial $10,000 endowment, this scholarship recognizes the community service and academic excellence of racially underrepresented and indigenous students pursuing post-secondary education.

Are You Looking to Grow Your Small Creative Business?


The Creative Entrepreneur Accelerator Program is designed to pair access to free small business consulting services with financial resources for creative entrepreneurs who aspire to start their own for-profit business or who operate an existing for-profit micro business.


Centre Foundation administers these grants in Centre, Clearfield, Clinton, and Huntingdon counties on behalf of the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts (PCA).


Applications are currently open and close on August 15, 2024.

Centre Foundation Joins Local News Initiative


Centre Foundation joined other community foundations and WITF News to discuss local news needs with the new Press Forward Central PA Chapter.


We addressed the decline of local news, emphasized its importance, and committed to developing solutions for Central PA's news ecosystem. This event, organized by PACFA, highlighted our commitment to support local news and civic engagement.

Giving Circle Impact Celebration


In 2023, Giving Circle members collectively awarded $23,000 to three organizations.


This August, Giving Circle members will gather at University Wine Company in a relaxed and convivial setting to hear the success stories of the grantee organizations and the impact made over the last year. Members are welcome to invite a guest.

Thanks to your support for 9 consecutive years, Centre Gives has been recognized as the top fundraiser in State College. This year, we broke records by raising close to $2.5 million for 200+ nonprofits in Centre County.


Let's keep the momentum going! Help Centre Gives continue its winning streak as "Best of State College" Magazine's Reader's Choice Award for Best Fundraising Event by voting HERE before July 15th.
