The City of Littleton is participating in a County wide Electric Vehicle (EV) study through Arapahoe County. They had their first workshop in January to develop their vision, goals and strategies. The next step is to conduct Workshop #2. For Workshop #2 they want to gather input from local businesses and get their thoughts on locations for charging stations and any other ideas they might have to meet future EV infrastructure needs.

They will be looking for a list of local businesses to participate in Workshop #2.

The Colorado Neurodiversity Chamber of Commerce’s mission is to provide strategies and opportunities to optimize business growth by building an authentically diverse and equality-based workplace while helping to further opportunities for neurodivergent individuals to excel in the workforce, business, and leadership.

They are the first neurodiversity chamber of commerce in the United States. CNDCC represents a leap in the equality of opportunity for our community and for businesses to authentically embrace complete DEI by the hiring and advancement of neurodiverse employees. 1 in 5 people is diagnosed with learning and attention differences—that is 20% of the population. 40% of neurodivergent adults are unemployed and as high as 85% of people on the autism spectrum are unemployed. Yet, statistics show that neurodivergent professionals can be up to 140% more productive than typical employees. They are here to change the narrative through the economic growth and development of businesses by changing by promoting neurodivergent-affirming business practices.  

The Spring 2023 Littleton Police Citizens Academy will begin Thursday, March 9. The academy is a series of classes designed to give community members a peek into the inner workings of the Littleton Police Department. A diverse selection of topics is covered in an effort to give attendees an idea of what, why, and how the police operate.

Each topic is taught by Littleton Police Officers or civilian staff members, each an expert in their field. Each instructor describes the functions of their position and is available to answer questions. Some of the classes also include practical exercises.

Participation in demonstrations and exercises is voluntary. Additionally, each participant has a chance to ride along with a patrol officer and spend time in the communications center. Reserve a spot by submitting an application by Friday, February 24.
