Dear Cultural Partners,
We have hit a crucial moment in the state legislative session. The budget draft has been released and several bills to increase cultural funding are moving through the legislative process. In total, nearly $80 million has been proposed for the cultural sector. This flexible funding touches all areas of our sector--from film to science to historical societies--and is available to organizations in every county and at every size. However, to secure this funding, we need to act now. Make your voice heard.

Get LOUD for Culture: Are You In?
Friday, 2/25 at Noon on Zoom

Learn about the many sources of potential funding and how YOU can help ensure this vital support is delivered to the cultural sector. We also have local heroes appearing at the rally who will share their passion and inspire you!

Are you in? Visit the Inspiration League for more information and register for the rally HERE.
Take Action!

In addition to attending Friday's rally, there are other steps you can take to make a difference.

At Inspire Washington, we believe in a holistic approach to ensure that organizations of all sizes in every county get the funding they need. Read Rich Smith's article in The Stranger, Washington Is Leaving Its Large Arts Institutions on the Hook for Eye-Popping COVID Mitigation Costs, for a glimpse into the staggering impact the pandemic has had on part of our sector.

Let that article motivate you to complete our I-Alert to keep culture in the state budget. With just two clicks, you can send a letter to your lawmakers expressing your support for all the funding at stake.

Share the article and the I-Alert with friends, family, colleagues, your organization's staff/board, patrons/audience members, and more. Post on social media and use this opportunity to Get LOUD for Culture!
Thank you for all you that contribute to our vibrant cultural sector and for making your voice heard. We hope to see you and hear you GET LOUD on Friday!
