However, if there is a fragment of a silver lining in all of this, it’s that employers and employees of every industry sector have already been through this, made many adjustments, and are better prepared for the future. AS WE APPROACH THE HOLIDAYS, GOVERNOR CARNEY ANNOUNCES ADDITIONAL COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS
The following will take effect at 8:00 am on Monday, November 23:
- Indoor gatherings in homes must be capped at no more than 10 people.
- Indoor gatherings outside of homes must be limited to 30 percent of the venue’s stated fire capacity, up to a cap of 50 people. This includes all events, such as weddings, funerals, services in houses of worship, performances, political gatherings, and events in public spaces including fire halls.
- Outdoor public gatherings are limited to 50 people. Up to 250 may be allowed with a plan approved by the Delaware Division of Public Health (DPH).
- Restaurants must operate at no more than 30 percent of fire capacity indoors, with allowances for additional outdoor seating.
The Governor also announced an additional $25 million in relief funds will be added to the DE Relief Grants program for businesses hardest hit by COVID-19 restrictions. The application deadline is December 4, 2020.

On Monday, June 15, all 110 women and men of The Buccini/Pollin Group returned to our Downtown Wilmington office, after nearly 90 days of working from home. Like many other businesses in our region, we walked out of the doors with our laptops in hand on a March afternoon expecting to shortly return. And like so many other leading businesses in Northern Delaware and Southeastern Pennsylvania, we were able to run our businesses from home, having already moved towards a paperless office with such technology as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
